The Louise Archer Sunshine 5K and Fun Run

Both the 5K and Fun Run are walker and stroller friendly. With a fast, flat out and back course and support from the entire Vienna community it's a great event for the entire family.

The Louise Archer 5k team is proud to partner this year with the Soles for Souls charity. Soles4Souls Inc. has committed to collect and distribute shoes to people living in extreme poverty and recovering from natural disasters. The charity provides one pair of shoes to a person in need every 7 seconds. Since 2005, Soles4Souls has distributed more than 13 million pairs of shoes because of the generosity and commitment of people and organizations like Louise Archer Elementary School.

As part of the build up to the 5k race on October 16th, we will be placing a couple of drop off points for you to donate new or gently used shoes (Soles4Souls accepts all types of shoes: athletic, running, dress, sandals, pumps, heels, work boots, cleats, dance, flip flops, just as long as they are new or gently worn, they even accept one shoe). After the race on October 16th we will count up and ship out the shoes. Our goal is to collect 150 pairs of shoes to send to people in need.
